The CX-50 crossover, which was built in the United States, is now being exported to Mexico, according to Mazda North American Operations (MNAO). Mazda Toyota Manufacturing (MTM), located in Huntsville, Alabama, assembles the CX-50.
The $2.3 billion joint venture plant was built by Mazda and Toyota, and it will be able to assemble up to 300,000 cars while working with up to 4,000 people on staff. 2,000 more Team One* members will work for MTM supplier partners. This year’s brand-new Mazda CX-50 was put into production by MTM in January.
