FANUC Canada Celebrates the Grand Opening of New Headquarters in Mississauga!

FANUC Canada marked a major milestone with the grand opening of its new Canadian headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario, on November 21, 2024. The event was attended by over 250 industry partners, customers, and media representatives. It featured a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and remarks from FANUC leadership, including Peter Fitzgerald, General Manager of FANUC Canada. This new 73,000-square-foot facility will serve as a hub for cutting-edge robotics technology and will play a pivotal role in supporting FANUC’s expanding operations across the Americas.
The headquarters showcases FANUC’s most advanced robotics and automation solutions, with an interactive showroom offering live demonstrations of the latest CNCs, robotics, and ROBOMACHINEs. The facility is designed to meet the needs of Canadian manufacturers by providing sales support, enhanced training programs, engineering expertise, and 24/7 customer service.
During the grand opening, attendees experienced a variety of live demonstrations showcasing FANUC’s technology, including:
- Flexible Multi-Arm Welding: A demonstration with the R-1000iA/100F and ARC Mate 100iD welding robots, along with iRVision 3DV, showed coordinated motion for part handling and welding.
- AI-Assisted Palletizing and Depalletizing: The M-710iD/50M robot, combined with iRVision 3DV vision sensors and AI Box Detection software, efficiently handled palletizing and depalletizing tasks by identifying difficult-to-distinguish boxes.
- Cobot Palletizing: The CRX-30iA cobot demonstrated its ability to palletize two pallets from a single infeed using a multi-case gripper, showcasing its efficiency with a 30 kg payload and 1,756 mm reach.
- Food Assembly with Robots: The LR Mate 200iD tabletop robot, working alongside the SR-6iA/C, demonstrated automated food assembly by picking and placing buns, burgers, and toppings.
FANUC’s new headquarters represents a significant commitment to the Canadian market and reinforces its strategy to enhance innovation, customer service, and economic growth in the region.
