Delta Electronics India, a leading provider of power management and green energy solutions, marked a significant milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of its Krishnagiri manufacturing campus. The occasion was graced by the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.K. Stalin, and also included the unveiling of a new, state-of-the-art smart manufacturing line that further strengthens Delta’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the “Make in India” vision.
Chief Minister Stalin lauded Delta’s efforts, stating, “I wholeheartedly appreciate Delta Electronics’ outstanding contribution to the industrial development of the Hosur region. I am particularly delighted about the inauguration of your factory’s new automated production line and its latest expansion. Tamil Nadu stands as India’s leading electronics manufacturing and export hub, and I am confident that our collaboration between Delta Electronics and the Government of Tamil Nadu will further strengthen the state’s growth.”
Jimmy Yiin, Delta’s Executive Vice President of Global Business Operations, highlighted the global significance of this expansion. He remarked, “Today’s expansion is a landmark milestone in Delta’s long-term commitment to the national ‘Make in India’ initiative. Our Krishnagiri manufacturing site has been strengthening India’s role within our global manufacturing capabilities since 2020, and we express our deepest gratitude to the Indian government, as well as to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, for the invaluable support to our local endeavors. Equally important is our people—by creating a safe and vibrant housing ecosystem, we ensure that our employees thrive along with our business.”
Echoing this sentiment, Benjamin Lin, President of Delta Electronics India, emphasized the role of Krishnagiri in advancing technology and sustainability. “Delta’s Krishnagiri site is a symbol of India’s excellence in manufacturing, innovation, talent, and sustainability. Moreover, our newly-established smart manufacturing line is a testament to Delta’s unique prowess in industrial automation hardware-software integration and in eco-friendly production. Beyond manufacturing, our investment here also reflects Delta’s commitment to advancing local skills and creating opportunities that benefit both industry and society,” he said.
Spanning 95 acres and employing more than 3,800 people as of September 2025, the Krishnagiri campus is already a major hub for Delta. The site currently houses four large-scale factory buildings dedicated to the production of high-efficiency power supplies, DC brushless fans, telecom power systems, industrial automation solutions, data center infrastructure, and solutions for electric mobility. With the addition of two new factory buildings, Delta aims to expand its capacity to serve both domestic and global markets in these rapidly growing segments.
The new smart manufacturing line unveiled at the event is powered by Delta’s “Inline Management Solution Line Manager,” which enables automated line changeovers and data-driven decision making through smart configuration, equipment management, and materials coordination. Featuring advanced automation technologies such as 6-axis articulated robots, 4-axis SCARA robots, servo motion systems, PLCs, and industrial networking solutions, the system has already demonstrated productivity gains of up to 95% in the production of power supplies for home appliance applications.
Aligned with Delta’s global sustainability goals, the Krishnagiri site currently operates with 53% renewable energy, supported by a 6.9 MWp solar rooftop system and wind energy procurement. Water conservation is achieved through an 1,800 KLD treatment plant and rainwater harvesting, while waste management practices follow CPCB-certified protocols.
Delta’s expansion at Krishnagiri underscores its vision to transform the site into a global benchmark for smart manufacturing, skill development, and sustainable operations. By combining advanced automation, clean energy, and talent development, Delta Electronics is not only strengthening India’s role in global manufacturing but also setting new standards for innovation-driven, eco-friendly growth.
