Aerolloy Technologies Commissions World-Class VIM Facility to Manufacture Superalloys and Large Investment Castings!
By Ashutosh Arora
Aerolloy Technologies Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of PTC Industries Limited, has commissioned its state-of-the-art Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) furnace and advanced facilities for the production of superalloys and large investment castings. With this milestone, Aerolloy joins a select group of global companies capable of manufacturing the largest precision superalloy investment castings—a critical requirement for aerospace, defence, space propulsion, and industrial gas turbine sectors.
The facility will also produce superalloy ingots and cast sticks for downstream use in high-technology industries. Superalloys, renowned for their ability to withstand extreme temperatures and stresses, are essential to aero-engines, gas turbines, and advanced defence systems.
Commenting on the development, Sachin Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, PTC Industries, said:
“This commissioning is a strategic milestone for Aerolloy and PTC Industries. We now have two world-class capabilities under one roof – the ability to manufacture the largest superalloy castings globally, and the capacity to produce a wide range of Nickel and Cobalt-based superalloys, including those used in single-crystal applications. These capabilities place Aerolloy in a very select global league while strengthening India’s self-reliance in critical materials.”
This commissioning marks a major expansion of Aerolloy’s manufacturing footprint and strengthens India’s capability to develop and supply advanced materials domestically. PTC Industries, with over six decades of experience in precision metal components, is also investing in a new integrated facility at the Lucknow node of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor, spread across 50 acres, further cementing its role as a leader in high-technology manufacturing.
