Schneider Electric Appoints Jai Sharma as CFO for Greater India Zone!

Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, has announced the appointment of Jai Sharma as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its Greater India Zone. He succeeds Preeti Gupta Mohanty, who has moved into a global role as Senior Vice President – Finance, International Operations. This leadership transition underscores Schneider Electric’s focus on nurturing internal talent and creating a pipeline of leaders capable of taking on expanded responsibilities across geographies and business verticals.

Jai Sharma’s elevation is the result of over a decade of progressive responsibilities within the organization, while Preeti’s transition to an international role highlights the influence of Indian leadership in shaping Schneider Electric’s global strategy.

In his new position, Jai Sharma will oversee financial planning, governance, and performance management for the Greater India Zone. His priorities include reinforcing financial discipline, enabling business resilience, and aligning the financial strategy with Schneider Electric’s broader goals of sustainability, digitization, and long-term transformation. The company believes that his leadership will help strengthen its competitive edge while also accelerating India’s contribution to global growth.

Jai Sharma brings nearly 18 years of experience in strategic finance, mergers and acquisitions, operational finance, and financial planning. Having spent over 11 years at Schneider Electric, he has held leadership roles across Business Finance, FP\&A, and merger integration. Most recently, he served as Business Finance Head – India, where he was instrumental in leading the FP&A function and providing strategic financial insights across diverse business units.
Before joining Schneider Electric, Jai worked with Tata Teleservices Ltd for six years, focusing on financial planning and analysis. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Delhi University. His diverse experience and proven ability to drive financial transformation position him well to steer Schneider Electric’s financial agenda in one of its most important global markets.
