Flow International Expands Portfolio with NX Pro Waterjet, LZR Fiber Laser, and HyperBend Press Brake for Flexible Fabrication!
By Ashutosh Arora
Flow International Corp., a pioneer in advanced cutting and forming solutions, has unveiled an expanded lineup of systems designed to deliver speed, control, and flexibility to modern fabrication shops. The company introduced the Flow NX Pro waterjet system, the LZR fiber laser system, and the HyperBend press brake—three complementary technologies that together address the evolving demands of precision manufacturing.
At the forefront of this launch is the NX Pro Waterjet System, which builds on Flow’s decades of leadership in abrasive waterjet technology. The NX Pro introduces what the company calls the industry’s first fully automated abrasive recycling system, enabling manufacturers to reuse cutting media and significantly reduce consumable costs. Alongside this innovation, the system is powered by new energy-saving pump technology designed to lower operational expenses while maintaining high-pressure cutting performance. Operators also benefit from a modernized software package that emphasizes ease of use, intuitive programming, and real-time simulation. This combination helps shops accelerate setup, minimize errors, and achieve consistently accurate cuts across a variety of materials—from metals and composites to glass and stone.
Complementing the waterjet is Flow’s LZR Fiber Laser System, engineered for high-speed, high-volume production environments. The LZR combines power levels up to 20 kW with a dual-drive gantry system and fast automatic shuttle tables, ensuring uninterrupted throughput and maximizing material utilization. By offering smooth edges, repeatable precision, and minimal downtime, the system enables fabricators to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality. Designed for scalability, the LZR fiber laser is well-suited for industries such as automotive, aerospace, and heavy equipment manufacturing, where productivity and consistency are critical.
Rounding out the portfolio is the HyperBend Press Brake, a forming solution developed to provide accuracy and repeatability in bending applications. Engineered with speed and control at its core, the HyperBend is capable of handling a wide range of part geometries, from simple boxes and frames to intricate structural components. Its advanced control system allows operators to fine-tune bend sequences, reduce scrap, and achieve uniform results across long production runs. By combining flexibility with precision, the HyperBend supports both high-mix job shops and large-scale manufacturing operations.
Together, these three systems represent Flow International’s holistic approach to fabrication—integrating cutting, forming, and process optimization to meet the challenges of modern manufacturing. Each solution has been designed with automation compatibility and operator efficiency in mind, ensuring customers can future-proof their operations as industry demands evolve.
“Fabrication today requires more than just powerful equipment; it requires systems that can adapt quickly, minimize downtime, and provide reliable performance under pressure,” a Flow International spokesperson noted. “The NX Pro, LZR, and HyperBend represent our commitment to giving customers that flexibility while also helping them reduce costs and improve productivity.”
By offering a comprehensive suite of technologies, Flow International empowers fabricators to streamline workflows, handle diverse material requirements, and meet the high expectations of customers in competitive markets. The launch underscores Flow’s continued role as a global leader in precision cutting and forming solutions, advancing the future of smart, efficient, and versatile manufacturing.
