PTC has just launched a unique Digital Performance Management (DPM) Solution in India. This tool takes advantage of IoT technology to allow real-time management of production performance to enhance operational efficiency. The target market for this solution are manufacturers in various sectors, including automobile, refractories, steel, brass, cement, and many more.
By using PTC’s solution companies will be able to identify the appropriate performance issues to enhance efficiency, gain more insight into the production bottlenecks and their root causes, measure results based on the available performance data, and encourage frontline workers to take the right action, and a lot more. PTC promises that companies that will utilize this software should see results within the first 90 days of use.
Jim Heppelmann, President & CEO, PTC emphasised the fact that the introduction of this DPM solution marks the beginning of PTC’s efforts to leverage IoT technologies and help enterprises boost efficiency and drive business value. He went on to say that ThingWorx will now become a suite of powerful enterprise solutions that organisations can take advantage of to enhance their efficiency in various ways.
In addition to the CEO’s words, Dhirendra Kulkarni, Senior Director for Solution Consulting, PTC Inc also highlighted the fact that the company’s new DPM solution intends to help organizations to achieve manufacturing excellence by effectively dealing with the various production constraints they face on a day-to-day basis.
Kulkarni believes that this new solution that they have brought to the market will help a lot of Indian manufacturers to deliver world-class products, and also enable organizations to measure their effectiveness in terms of time production time. Eventually, this will give the relevant stakeholders in these companies an insight into the production processes that take more time, so they can come up with solutions to reduce this time.
According to PTC, this solution targets users including executives, managers, and frontline workers.
