Last week, Chris Thomas and Chloe Reeve visited Howells Railway Products Limited on behalf of LANG Technik UK Ltd. to see firsthand how the team is pushing the boundaries of secure, stable workholding.
During the visit, we spoke with Justin Johnson and Alexander Barnes, who shared how Howells has invested heavily in LANG Technik products over the past 12 months. These investments have played a key role in improving precision, efficiency, and reliability across their machining operations.
Tony Lewis was also on-site to provide insight into how the workholding systems were planned, tested, and optimised specifically for the challenging components Howells manufactures. One standout example was gripping just 3mm of material with no vibration, showcasing the capability and confidence they now have in their setup
