Volvo Trucks is set to launch its new long-range electric truck, the FH Electric, in the second half of 2025. Promising a range of up to 600 km on a single charge, this model will make long-distance and interregional electric transport more viable, eliminating the need for frequent recharges during a full working day.

Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks, emphasized that the FH Electric will complement Volvo’s existing portfolio of electric trucks, offering a zero-exhaust emission solution for longer routes. This aligns with Volvo’s commitment to reducing CO2 emissions and advancing sustainable transport solutions for companies with high mileage requirements.

Volvo Trucks, a leader in electric trucking, has already delivered over 3,800 electric trucks across 46 countries. With eight electric models serving sectors such as regional distribution, construction, and waste management, Volvo continues to drive innovation in battery-electric vehicles. The introduction of the FH Electric for long-haul routes is another step in their mission to address the transport sector’s significant contribution to global carbon emissions.

As part of its transition towards fossil-free transport, Volvo aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040. The company’s three-path technology strategy includes battery-electric vehicles, fuel cell electric vehicles, and renewable fuel-powered combustion engines, positioning Volvo Trucks at the forefront of the global shift toward sustainable transportation.
