Mould and dies can range from small parts to parts as large as a motor car. But making these comes with their own issues; because they are used as moulds / dies, any imperfections will be reflected in the end component. Therefore there can’t be any blends, mis-matches or blemishes.
Not only that, you need to consider the accuracy. How does a machine accommodate for thermal behaviour, mechanical behaviour and other complexities when making these parts.
