Accurate Gauging were one of the pioneering companies in the field of metrology in India. Formed in 1963 they initially made plug gauges and were the first company to build callipers in India. As Managing Director, Vikram Salunke explains to Ashutosh Arora from MTDCNC, for the last 35 years they have been specialising in Co-ordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). With over 1500 CMM machines installed across India this is now the major part of their business. Exporting also plays a large part in Accurate’s success story, exporting worldwide to over 37 countries, with over 100 CMM’s in the USA as well as CMM’s in Germany and Italy. Using class leading measuring components from Renishaw and the availability of locally sourced high quality granite Accurate are well placed to provide a high quality cost effective product. At the show Accurate are showcasing a 5 axis CMM aimed at the aerospace market and it is one of the fastest measuring devices in the market. The parts are measured the same way that they are machined giving better accuracy, flexibility and better productivity.
