United Grinding to Acquire GF Machining Solutions, Expanding into Ultra-Precision Machining!

United Grinding Group has announced the signing of an agreement with Georg Fischer AG to acquire its GF Machining Solutions (GFMS) division. This strategic acquisition is set to strengthen United Grinding’s market presence by expanding its product portfolio and advancing its capabilities in ultra-precision machining. Together, the two entities will provide a comprehensive range of solutions to global customers, enhancing United Grinding’s position as a leader in precision engineering.
The transaction, expected to close in the first or second quarter of 2025 pending regulatory approvals, will allow United Grinding to integrate GFMS’s expertise in electrical discharge machining (EDM), milling, laser texturing, and automation. This move aligns with United Grinding’s vision to deliver end-to-end machining solutions, enabling customers worldwide to benefit from innovative and precise manufacturing technologies.
With this acquisition, United Grinding and GFMS plan to establish a global footprint in ultra-precision machining, addressing the growing demand for high-precision solutions across various industries.
