Rollomatic GrindSmart 630XW3 tool grinder includes 16-station wheel changer

Rollomatic has introduced the GrindSmart model 630XW3 CNC tool grinder with a 16-station wheel changer. It incorporates six fully interpolated axes (three rotary and three linear) and linear axis drive technology.

The machine’s footprint remains small, as the wheel changer adds only 30 in. to its width. It offers simultaneous change of wheel packs and associated coolant manifolds with coolant nozzles. To shorten cycle time, tool unload/load happens simultaneously during wheel change, and embedded intelligence keeps frequently used wheel packs in front.

The wheel arbors are HSK-type with a proprietary attachment design that ensures less than 0.00005-in. TIR over the life of the grinding spindle, according to the manufacturer.
