Lloyds Technical Works to Acquire Bhilai Engineering Division, Expanding Production Capacity by 2.4 Times!

Lloyds Technical Works (LEWL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to acquire the engineering division of Bhilai Engineering Corporation (BECL), a move that will significantly enhance LEWL’s production capacity and operational footprint. The acquisition will increase LEWL’s overall factory floor and production space by 2.4 times, enabling the company to expand its offerings and serve a broader range of industries.
BECL’s Engineering Division is known for providing technical solutions to sectors such as metallurgy, mining, railroads, and high-tech machining. Located in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, the division boasts an integrated production facility spanning 30,566 square meters, specializing in working with exotic materials like stainless steel and aluminium. This acquisition will complement LEWL’s current product lines and enhance its manufacturing capabilities.
The strategic location of the Bhilai facility offers logistical and cost benefits, particularly due to its proximity to multiple steel industries, giving LEWL a competitive edge in terms of production efficiency and direct access to customers. The acquisition marks a significant step in LEWL’s growth strategy, improving both capacity and operational flexibility.
