Klauer Manufacturing Co., a well-established provider of residential building products, has announced the opening of a new 40,200-square-foot facility in Tomball, Texas. This expansion marks an important milestone in the company’s strategic growth as it strengthens its presence in the southern U.S. market. Initially serving as a warehouse with 2,000 square feet of dedicated office space, the Tomball site will transition into full-scale manufacturing operations by early Q4 2025, beginning with the production of residential roof flashing products.

Headquartered in Dubuque, Iowa, Klauer Manufacturing has built a strong reputation in the residential and light commercial building markets with a diverse product line. The company manufactures residential roofing accessories, steel siding, soffit, fascia, rainware, and metal building panels, in addition to components serving the agricultural construction sector. The new facility in Texas represents not only an expansion of Klauer’s footprint but also a deliberate move to position the company closer to high-demand markets in the region.

Texas has been experiencing rapid growth in both residential and commercial construction, driven by population increases, economic development, and infrastructure investments. Establishing a facility in Tomball allows Klauer to meet rising regional demand more efficiently by reducing lead times, improving distribution, and offering greater responsiveness to customer needs. The move also strengthens Klauer’s logistical capabilities, ensuring timely delivery of products while lowering transportation costs for customers in Texas and neighboring states.

The Tomball facility will initially operate as a distribution hub, supporting Klauer’s existing customers while setting the stage for advanced manufacturing integration. Once production ramps up in Q4 2025, the site will focus on roof flashing products, which are essential components for protecting residential structures from water infiltration and ensuring roof durability. Over time, Klauer is expected to broaden the scope of manufacturing at the site to include additional product categories, leveraging the facility’s capacity and location advantages.

For Klauer Manufacturing, this expansion reflects its long-term strategy of combining customer-focused growth with operational excellence. By bringing production closer to key markets, the company is enhancing its ability to serve contractors, builders, and distributors with greater speed and flexibility. The addition of localized manufacturing capacity in Texas also positions Klauer to better adapt to shifting market dynamics, including rising material costs, labor shortages, and increasing demand for sustainable, high-quality building solutions.

Klauer’s legacy of innovation and reliability has been central to its growth since its founding. The company’s decision to invest in a new Texas facility underscores its commitment to building on that legacy while expanding its reach in one of the fastest-growing construction markets in the United States. As the Tomball site evolves from warehouse to full production, Klauer is poised to deliver even greater value to its customers, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted partner in the residential building products industry.

With this expansion, Klauer Manufacturing is not only increasing its operational footprint but also reaffirming its role as a forward-looking company ready to meet the needs of a changing construction landscape.
