Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing (KAM) has taken delivery of an EOS M400-4 metal additive manufacturing system, marking a significant milestone as the 5,000th installation for EOS, a global leader in additive manufacturing.

Founded in 1989, EOS launched its journey into additive manufacturing with the installation of its first STEREOS 400 3D printer at BMW in Munich. Fast forward to today, the 5,000th installation was completed at KAM’s Statesville, North Carolina facility, where the company now operates 36 EOS machines as part of the growing ADDMAN group of additive manufacturing service providers.

KAM, which serves industries such as aerospace and automotive, leverages advanced additive manufacturing technology to produce highly engineered and complex applications.

Marie Langer, CEO of EOS, reflected on the company’s pioneering journey:
“Our organisation was a startup within a startup industry. There was no such thing as additive manufacturing when EOS was launched. While 5,000 machines are impressive, this milestone is just the beginning. The possibilities are endless, and I’m excited about the greater achievements we’ll reach in the future.”

ADDMAN CEO Joe Calmese highlighted the technology’s transformative impact:
“Additive manufacturing is now integral to industries like defence, space, energy, tooling, and medical. We have long relied on EOS AM technology for producing highly engineered applications and are thrilled to be part of their journey.”

Glynn Fletcher, President of EOS North America, emphasized the company’s enduring commitment to innovation:
“To this day, we remain true to Hans’ original vision. Our dedication to quality and service for organizations like ADDMAN has driven consistent growth. I’m confident we’ll reach 10,000 installations much faster than the first 100.”

With KAM’s latest acquisition, EOS reinforces its reputation as a trailblazer in additive manufacturing. The achievement signifies not only the company’s leadership but also the growing reliance on advanced 3D printing technologies across diverse industries. As EOS sets its sights on the next milestone, the additive manufacturing community looks forward to further innovation and progress.
