Kennametal India Appoints Amit Laroya as Non-Executive Chairman!

Kennametal India Limited has named Amit Laroya, an experienced business leader and former Managing Director of 3M India Limited, as the company’s Non-Executive Chairman, following the recent retirement of B. Anjani Kumar from the Board.
Laroya brings a wealth of expertise in driving profitable and sustainable growth across diverse sectors, including electronics, industrial, automotive, and safety. Known for his focus on portfolio strategies and change management, he is a certified Master Black Belt and has led business process improvements through Hoshin Kanri and Six Sigma methodologies. His extensive experience also covers mergers and acquisitions, as well as global strategy implementation.
Throughout his career, Laroya has held senior roles, such as Global Director of Strategy for 3M in the USA and Managing Director of 3M’s operations in Indonesia, India, and Korea. His board experience includes positions as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of 3M India and 3M Korea, and he currently serves as Senior Vice President for 3M’s Transportation and Electronics Business in Asia.
