JSW Sarbloh Motors has entered into a strategic partnership with Tomcar USA to manufacture the TX range of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) in India. The collaboration represents a significant step in advancing India’s indigenous tactical mobility capabilities, aligning with national priorities to strengthen self-reliance in defence and industrial equipment manufacturing. Under the joint venture, JSW Sarbloh Motors will indigenise, assemble, and support the Tomcar TX lineup at its state-of-the-art facility in Chandigarh. The first India-assembled TX units are expected to roll out by early 2026, with field trials and demonstrations scheduled for India’s defence and paramilitary agencies.

The partnership was formally announced as a move not just toward expanding business opportunities but also toward bolstering India’s defence infrastructure. Parth Jindal of the JSW Group emphasized the broader significance of the joint venture. “We are delighted to announce this strategic joint venture between JSW Sarbloh Motors and Tomcar USA, which marks a significant milestone in our commitment to enhance India’s defence capabilities. The TX platform is designed to meet the rigorous demands of our armed forces and security agencies whilst ensuring superior durability, flexibility, and safety. At JSW, we believe in combining cutting-edge technology with local production capabilities to foster a robust industrial ecosystem that strengthens our national security and creates job opportunities,” he said.

For JSW Sarbloh Motors, this partnership also reflects a deeper alignment of vision and purpose. Jaskirat Vladimir Singh Nagra, CEO and Founder Director of the company, explained that the collaboration goes beyond simple manufacturing. “This joint venture is more than a business partnership; it is a strategic alignment of vision and purpose. We are committed to offering India’s defence and industrial sectors world-class mobility platforms with the ruggedness, modularity, and reliability they demand. We look forward to this exciting collaboration and are confident that our joint efforts will set new standards in tactical mobility within India and beyond.”

From Tomcar USA’s perspective, the partnership provides an opportunity to extend its decades of engineering expertise to a new market with immense potential. Ram Zarchi, Founder and Principal of Tomcar USA, described the partnership as a fusion of proven experience with advanced local manufacturing. “This partnership will allow us to deliver our proven platforms to the Indian Armed Forces, combining Tomcar’s decades of mission-grade engineering with JSW’s advanced manufacturing expertise and first-class leadership,” he stated.

Mark W. Farage, Interim CEO of Tomcar USA, further elaborated on the vision behind the collaboration. “This joint venture is the culmination of a thoughtful and deliberate process aimed at creating a truly strategic partnership. We are excited to hopefully contribute to India’s adaptation to the demands of modern warfare by providing the proven, battle-tested Tomcar platform to the Indian Army. In addition, we see enormous opportunity to deploy the Tomcar into India’s diverse commercial sectors – from mining and timber to search and rescue, border patrol, farming, and beyond.”

The TX ATV range is well-regarded globally for its durability, modularity, and adaptability across varied terrains. By localizing production in India, the joint venture not only enhances accessibility for Indian defence forces but also positions the platform for deployment across industries such as mining, agriculture, and disaster response. The collaboration thus represents a multi-dimensional initiative that blends military readiness with commercial versatility.

With the first India-built TX vehicles expected in 2026, the JSW–Tomcar partnership is poised to play a transformative role in redefining tactical mobility solutions within the country. Beyond its immediate impact on defence capabilities, the venture reflects India’s growing ability to combine global technologies with indigenous production, strengthening both national security and industrial resilience.
