Hikrobot India Showcases Cutting-Edge Machine Vision and Robotics Solutions at Automation Expo 2025!
By Ashutosh Arora
Hikrobot India made a high-impact presence at Automation Expo 2025, held from August 11–14 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Goregaon, Mumbai. Recognised as Asia’s largest event dedicated to automation, logistics, warehousing, and supply chain technologies, the Expo brought together leading industry players, innovators, and decision-makers from across the country. Hikrobot’s booth emerged as a major attraction, drawing attention for its immersive live demonstrations and next-generation technology displays in the fields of Machine Vision and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs).
At the heart of the showcase was the debut of two flagship innovations—the 3D Laser Profile Sensor and the ID3000 Series Smart Code Reader with Liquid Lens. The 3D Laser Profile Sensor, based on advanced laser triangulation technology, delivers real-time, micrometre-level precision by generating high-frame-rate point clouds, depth images, and intensity data. This makes it an ideal choice for high-precision, contactless inspection applications in industries such as electronics manufacturing, lithium battery production, and printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication.
The ID3000 Series Smart Code Reader brings a leap forward in industrial barcode scanning, combining AI-powered recognition with a modular, scalable architecture. Designed for the most demanding environments, it features IP67-rated protection, compatibility with multiple industrial communication protocols, and rapid, reliable reading speeds. This technology is particularly relevant to sectors such as automotive manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, photovoltaics, electronics, and automated warehousing.
Beyond these launches, Hikrobot’s booth showcased an extensive lineup of vision technologies, including 3D Cameras, Area Scan Cameras, Smart Cameras, Smart Code Readers, and Handheld Readers. One standout was the SC1000 Smart Camera, which integrates six advanced tools—Pattern Matching, Colour Detection, Object Counting, Measurement Tools, Logic Functions, and Basic OCR—enabling versatile and precise visual inspection capabilities across diverse industrial applications.
In the robotics segment, the QF Series AMR, engineered for pallet transportation, and the Tugger AMR, capable of autonomously towing trolleys, attracted considerable interest from logistics and manufacturing professionals. These solutions are aimed at optimising internal material handling processes, reducing manual intervention, and supporting the shift towards smart logistics operations. The company also demonstrated Static and Dynamic DWS (Dimensioning, Weighing, and Scanning) systems, further emphasising its commitment to integrated, intelligent warehouse automation.
Commenting on the successful showcase, Ashish P. Dhakan, MD & CEO of Prama Hikvision India, said, “Industrial automation is playing a crucial role in advancing sustainability and smart manufacturing. With the launch of our new 3D Laser Profile Sensor and Smart Code Reader, we’re helping drive efficiency and innovation across sectors. Automation Expo provided the perfect platform to introduce these solutions to the Indian market.”
The four-day event featured live demos, networking opportunities, and knowledge-sharing sessions, positioning Hikrobot as a key enabler in India’s journey towards intelligent manufacturing and automated warehousing. With its deep focus on advanced industrial automation, robotics, and vision technologies, Hikrobot India continues to expand its footprint in the Indian market, working closely with distributors and strategic partners to deliver robust pre- and post-sales support.
