H.B. Carbide Co. has introduced the HB-710 carbide grade, designed to enhance edge security and resistance during the machining of high-temperature materials such as nickel-based alloys and stainless steel. This new grade offers exceptional performance in demanding aerospace and medical applications, where milling and drilling difficult-to-machine materials is required.

The HB-710 grade achieves a unique balance between toughness and hardness, providing increased edge-line security and resistance to common tool failures such as corner and micro chipping. These issues are often encountered when working with tough materials under high temperatures. Developed with an optimal blend of toughness and wear resistance, HB-710 utilizes submicron grain size and a medium-low cobalt content.
