Blum-Novotest, a global leader in precision measurement and testing technologies, has announced the appointment of Jean-François Landry as its new Regional Sales Manager for Québec, effective August 18, 2025. This strategic move reinforces the company’s commitment to strengthening customer support and expanding its presence in one of Canada’s most important manufacturing regions.

In his new role, Landry will be responsible for working closely with manufacturers and automation specialists across Québec to help them integrate Blum-Novotest’s advanced measurement and testing solutions into their operations. By providing local expertise and hands-on support, he will play a crucial role in enabling customers to achieve higher levels of accuracy, efficiency, and productivity in their machining and automation processes.

Landry brings over two decades of industry experience, with a career path that uniquely combines technical expertise, entrepreneurial leadership, and business development. Beginning his career in 1999 as a CNC machinist, he quickly built a strong foundation in manufacturing processes and precision engineering. Over the years, he transitioned into aerospace quality control, CAD/CAM applications, and technical sales—fields that demanded both a high degree of technical knowledge and a deep understanding of customer needs.

In addition to his corporate roles, Landry also demonstrated entrepreneurial vision by founding Landrytek, an Autodesk partner company focused on providing advanced CAD/CAM solutions. Under his leadership, Landrytek grew into a respected player in the design and manufacturing software space before being acquired by SolidCAD in 2021. This experience has given Landry a unique perspective on how technology, software, and precision measurement tools intersect to drive innovation in modern manufacturing.

“Jean-François’s background makes him an excellent fit for our mission in Québec,” said a spokesperson from Blum-Novotest. “His combination of technical know-how, customer-focused approach, and proven leadership in both business and engineering will help our customers fully leverage the benefits of Blum-Novotest solutions.”

Blum-Novotest, headquartered in Germany with a global network of subsidiaries and partners, is recognized for its high-performance technologies that support manufacturing excellence. Its product portfolio spans machine tool probes, tool setting systems, laser measurement, and testing technologies, all designed to ensure precise, efficient, and repeatable production processes across industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, energy, and general engineering.

For customers in Québec, Landry’s appointment means more direct engagement with a local expert who understands the challenges of the regional market while bringing global best practices to the table. With Québec’s manufacturing sector placing increasing emphasis on automation, precision machining, and digital integration, his expertise is expected to play a significant role in helping companies remain competitive on the global stage.

By adding Landry to its North American team, Blum-Novotest continues to demonstrate its focus on localized service, customer collaboration, and industry growth. The company sees this appointment as a key step in supporting its vision of delivering world-class measurement technologies while ensuring customers have the guidance and expertise needed to integrate them successfully.
