Avaada Group, a leading renewable energy company, has partnered with global ammonia technology expert Casale to develop India’s largest green ammonia plant in Gopalpur, Odisha. With a production capacity of 1,500 tonnes per day (TPD), this facility will operate entirely on renewable energy, marking a major leap toward India’s clean energy goals and reinforcing the nation’s commitment to sustainability.

The plant will replace traditional fossil fuel-based ammonia production with a sustainable alternative, aligning with India’s Net Zero commitments and reducing carbon emissions in the industrial sector.

Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada, emphasized that this plant will drive innovation and energy independence, solidifying India’s leadership in the global green energy transition.

Federico Zardi, CEO of Casale, highlighted that this collaboration reinforces Casale’s commitment to accelerating India’s clean energy transition, ensuring efficient and scalable ammonia production.

This milestone project positions India as a global leader in green hydrogen and ammonia, opening new doors for renewable energy applications and paving the way for a sustainable, self-reliant future.
