ANCA’s MX7 grinding platform offers an innovative solution for seamless tool grinding in a single setup. The platform eliminates the need for multiple wheel changes, streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency. Equipped with advanced features, it supports comprehensive tool grinding while ensuring high precision and reduced cycle times.
The MX7 platform supports a wide range of tool shapes, including taper ballnose, corner radius, lollipop cutters, step tools, and more. It accommodates tool diameters ranging from 1 mm to 25.4 mm, allowing manufacturers to complete multiple tasks in a single setup. The P-axis Arobotech support stabilizes blanks at the grind point, delivering surface finishes below 0.2 Ra while significantly reducing setup times.
The platform comes with six wheel packs, enabling uninterrupted grinding at various positions depending on the tool’s geometry. Its hydraulic pump automatically adjusts clamping pressure based on diameter, optimizing cycle times and ensuring consistent results. The inclusion of Arobotech pads accommodates a range of diameters (3-25 mm) without requiring additional adjustments, further enhancing the platform’s efficiency.
ANCA’s MX7 platform excels in blanket grinding, automating the loading and grinding of multiple tools from a single blank. This feature is ideal for batch production of end mills, drill heads, and similar tools. The process allows for parting off completed tools and utilizing the remaining blank for subsequent tools, optimizing material usage and reducing waste.
ANCA’s LoaderMate software enhances production management by tracking the number, location, and length of blanks in the pickup pallet. It provides detailed reports, such as the number of tools ground and the total length of bar stock to be scrapped, ensuring efficient material planning and reducing operational costs.
