ABB and Microsoft will collaborate on the adoption of generative AI technology to help industrial customers access insights hidden in operational data, expanding on their long-standing cooperation. ABB will incorporate generative AI into the Genix platform and applications via Azure OpenAI Service, including large language models (LLMs) like GPT-4, enabling functionality such as code, picture, and text production. When it is released, Genix Copilot will improve user experience by providing intuitive functionality and optimising the flow of contextualised data across processes and operations. This will deliver real-time actionable insights to industry executives, functional specialists, and shop floor engineers for better decision-making and increased efficiency. The service is designed to assist customers in meeting their sustainability and energy transition goals by offering enhanced monitoring and optimisation insights into industrial greenhouse gas emissions and energy usage.
