Horn is proud to present the Boehlerit ETAtec45P milling system. This range of tools is intended for machining long-chipping materials such as stainless steels, titanium alloys or nickel-based alloys. The seven cutting edges per insert and a 45-degree approach angle boost productivity during face milling. The positive cutting geometry ensures low cutting forces and high metal removal rate. The resulting lower power consumption makes it possible to use the milling cutters even on less powerful and less rigid machines. The design of the indexable insert, combined with the body’s insert seat, opens up the possibility of clamping round inserts for profile milling as well. This means that the user can perform two machining methods using just one body.
The milling system is available in the form of arbour milling cutters with diameters of 50 mm to 200 mm, end mills with diameters of 25 mm to 40 mm, and screw-in milling cutters with diameters of 25 mm to 40 mm. All versions feature an internal coolant supply. The indexable inserts are available with and without chip breaker geometry. The option of chip breaker geometry that is adapted to the material being machined makes cutting even easier. The carbide substrates are available in a range of grades.
