LEVC to add 100 jobs in Coventry

Wednesday 18 March 2020, 7:51:19 PM

The London EV Company (LEVC) is growing its product range, export markets and employment opportunities in 2020. In order to meet the company’s 2020 growth strategy, over 100 new jobs will be created at its headquarters in Ansty, near Coventry.

LEVC has expanded its product line-up beyond the successful TX taxi, with the TX shuttle variant and, in Q4 this year, will be launching an all new electric van. Building on a record year in 2019 with more than 2,500 units sold, LEVC is forecasting a 50% increase in demand in 2020. In line with the company’s export strategy, LEVC will more than double its market presence, with plans to be operating in 20 countries by the end of the year.

Joerg Hofmann, CEO of LEVC, commented:

“LEVC is at the forefront of reinventing mobility, by transforming from an iconic British taxi brand to a leading electric vehicle manufacturer.  We are at a pivotal time in LEVC’s history. Our strategic direction is on track as we deliver consistent, planned growth and I’m delighted to be able to create new job opportunities this year.
