When the UK government sent out a call for manufacturers to step up and aid with the production of ventilators, Cogsdill were on hand to deliver. Many critical ventilator parts have specified features that require a surface finish to be, either specifically Roller Burnished or with a surface finish requirement of 0.2Ra, which is typically a burnished finish. Furthermore, many components included difficult to reach cross holes – it is here that Cogsdill and its Burraway or ‘Burr off’ tools have been extensively applied.
