Matsuura USA Team Visits Japan Headquarters: A Firsthand Look at Craftsmanship and Commitment to Excellence

Monday 30 June 2025, 6:26:00 AM

A group of Matsuura USA team members, including Regional Sales Manager Nathan Eickhoff, recently returned from a visit to the Matsuura Machinery Corporation headquarters in Fukui, Japan — a trip that reinforces the company’s dedication to quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement across continents.

Speaking about the experience, Eickhoff shared:

Last week I had the privilege to visit the Matsuura factory in Japan. The attention to detail that is put into every machine is incredible!! It cannot be conveyed any other way other than seeing it in person.

This visit is part of Matsuura USA’s ongoing initiative to immerse its team members in the heart of the company’s manufacturing philosophy. By experiencing the process firsthand, U.S. representatives can better communicate the precision, engineering, and care that define every Matsuura machine.

Factory Visits: A Tradition of Insight and Inspiration

Matsuura regularly welcomes international staff and partners to its Fukui facility, encouraging a deeper understanding of its engineering process and corporate culture. For Matsuura USA, these visits are not only educational — they are also a vital source of inspiration.

“Having our team on-site in Japan provides an unmatched perspective,” said a Matsuura USA spokesperson. “It sharpens our technical expertise, strengthens our alignment with factory operations, and ultimately allows us to serve our customers with even more confidence and clarity.”

Unmatched Demand Across the Range – Especially for the MX Series

Matsuura USA continues to experience strong momentum in the U.S. market across all major model lines — including the MAM72, H.Plus, LX, and V.Plus series. However, the MX Series, in particular, has become a standout in recent years.

Designed for simultaneous 5-axis machining, high reliability, and ease of automation, the MX Series is fast becoming the machine of choice for progressive machine shops throughout North America. Its versatility and precision make it ideal for both prototype and production environments — and it carries the same craftsmanship seen on the factory floor in Fukui.

Bringing Japanese Craftsmanship Home

This most recent visit by the Matsuura USA team underscores the importance of ongoing collaboration between the U.S. and Japan. It’s a way of keeping the team connected not only to the machines themselves, but to the culture of precision and care behind them.

“When our customers hear us talk about Matsuura quality,” added Eickhoff, “they’re not just getting a sales pitch. They’re getting insight that comes from standing where the machines are built and meeting the people who build them.”
