Half a Century of Excellence: Celebrating Guhring UK’s Golden Jubilee

Guhring celebrated its 50-year journey at its manufacturing site in Birmingham, hosting partners, customers, suppliers and esteemed guests, including Oliver Guehring, the Board Chairman. From humble beginnings as a drill-selling operation in a rented facility, Guhring UK has transformed into a leading cutting tool manufacturer with a 60,000ft² production site. Chris Weston, Guhring UK’s Managing Director, reminisced about the company’s evolution. Oliver Guehring expressed immense pride in the UK facility and discussed the company’s global growth. Gareth Jones, MD of In-Comm Training, emphasized the importance of investment in staff training and apprenticeships for future manufacturing. The celebratory event offered facility tours, golf, a driving simulator, and a robot arena set up by RoboChallenge, a Guhring customer. In September, the Guhring group is gearing up for its 125th-anniversary celebrations.
