Altair and Siemens to Showcase a Unified, End-to-End Additive Manufacturing Workflow at Formnext 2025!
By Ashutosh Arora
Altair, the Michigan-based leader in simulation, AI, and advanced engineering software, will make its first joint public appearance with new owner Siemens at Formnext 2025. This collaboration marks a significant milestone following Altair’s acquisition, bringing together two global technology powerhouses to demonstrate what they describe as the industry’s most complete Additive Manufacturing (AM) workflow—from initial design through full-scale production.
At the show, Altair and Siemens will present an integrated ecosystem that combines Altair’s next-generation implicit modelling, AI-driven simulation, and advanced optimisation capabilities with Siemens’ robust suite of industrial AM solutions and manufacturing expertise. Together, the companies aim to illustrate how digital engineering and intelligent automation can accelerate innovation across multiple industries, including aerospace, mobility, electronics, medical devices, and performance sportswear.
Altair will highlight breakthrough advancements in implicit modelling—an approach that enables the creation of ultra-complex geometries such as lattices, lightweight structures, and intricate organic forms that traditional CAD tools struggle to handle. These capabilities, powered by AI-enabled simulation algorithms, allow engineers to rapidly iterate designs, predict performance with high accuracy, and optimise structures specifically for Additive Manufacturing. Real-world examples on display will showcase how companies globally are improving part performance, reducing material use, and shortening design cycles through Altair’s technology.
Siemens will complement this with demonstrations of its industrial automation, digital twin, and production management tools, offering visitors a broader understanding of how AM fits within the modern smart factory. Siemens experts will be present to discuss application-specific solutions, process monitoring, machine connectivity, and end-to-end digital workflows that help organisations scale Additive Manufacturing from prototyping to high-volume production.
For attendees, the joint booth provides a rare opportunity to explore a unified AM design-to-manufacturing workflow backed by two of the industry’s most influential digital engineering companies. Visitors can engage directly with technical specialists from both organisations, view cross-platform demonstrations, and discover new tools and strategies to adopt AM more efficiently and cost-effectively.
Altair and Siemens will exhibit together in Hall 12.1 at Booth D119, offering a first look into their combined vision for the future of digitally integrated, AI-powered Additive Manufacturing.
