DMG MORI USA has announced the opening of its new state-of-the-art Technology Center in Medina, Ohio, a move that reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting the rapidly evolving manufacturing landscape across the Midwest. Known as DMG MORI Cleveland, the facility is strategically established to cater to industries in Ohio, Kentucky, western West Virginia, western Pennsylvania, and western New York. These regions are recognized for their thriving economies and strong presence in sectors such as aerospace, medical, space, and other high-technology manufacturing, making Medina an ideal location for the company’s latest expansion.
The new Technology Center represents more than just a showroom for advanced machines; it is designed as a complete ecosystem of solutions, training, and customer support. Employing around 60 skilled professionals, including applications engineers, service engineers, and sales representatives, the facility ensures that customers in the region have access to world-class expertise and dedicated support. With a 290-square-meter showroom that highlights the latest in CNC machining technology and a 110-square-meter turnkey solutions area, DMG MORI Cleveland is well-equipped to provide both live demonstrations and customized solutions that address the unique challenges of modern manufacturing.
In addition to showcasing technology, DMG MORI Cleveland is also focused on strengthening workforce development. The facility will offer specialized training programs that emphasize advanced CNC machining, digital manufacturing innovations, and DMG MORI’s exclusive technology cycles. By providing hands-on education, the company aims to equip manufacturing professionals with the skills required to meet the increasing demands of precision engineering, automation, and digital integration. This focus on training not only supports DMG MORI customers but also contributes to the overall growth and competitiveness of the regional manufacturing industry.
The showroom features some of the company’s most advanced technologies, including the NLX 2500|700 2nd Generation universal turning machine paired with the Robo2Go Drawer System, which combines productivity, compact design, and automation to enhance unattended production and efficiency. Visitors can also experience the DMU 75 MonoBlock 2nd Generation five-axis machining center, a machine renowned for its stability, rigidity, and precision, making it ideal for complex, multi-sided part production in industries such as aerospace and medical device manufacturing. The facility further highlights the NHX Series 4th Generation horizontal machining solutions with enhanced spindle output, chip management, and improved cutting performance. Alongside these machines, DMG MORI’s focus on digital transformation is evident through live demonstrations of platforms such as my DMG MORI and DMG MORI Messenger, enabling smarter connectivity and process optimization. The facility also features a dedicated additive manufacturing display, emphasizing hybrid solutions that combine both additive and subtractive methods to deliver next-generation manufacturing capabilities.
