
Italian Tech in India – Impresa Awards 2025: Celebrating Innovation and Strengthening Indo-Italian Industrial Ties!

The Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI) successfully hosted the 2025 edition of Italian Tech in India and the Impresa Awards at The Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai. The two-day summit brought together leaders from government, business, and academia across both nations to foster collaboration in technology, manufacturing, and sustainability. The event also honored companies demonstrating excellence in innovation, responsibility, and industrial growth.
The opening ceremony featured remarks by Walter Ferrara, Consul General of Italy in Mumbai; Alessandro Giuliani, President of IICCI; and Claudio Maffioletti, CEO & Secretary General of IICCI. Together, they highlighted the shared vision of leveraging Italian technical know-how and India’s industrial momentum to build an innovation-driven and resilient future.
The first session focused on collaboration in infrastructure and clean energy. Vikas Kothari of JM Financial Ltd. delivered a keynote on the evolving M&A landscape, while a panel led by Anish T. of The Industrial discussed opportunities in advanced construction, renewable energy, and smart grids. Panelists included leaders from DEAL Technology Group, Maccaferri Environmental Solutions, Mapei India, and IIT Bombay.
Sustainable transportation was the theme of the second session. Kedar Gokhale from Tata Technologies delivered a keynote on global mobility trends, particularly the rise of electric vehicles. Moderated by Dr. Hari Vasudevan of DJSCE, the session featured executives from Brembo Brakes, Dell’Orto, Marposs, Dalmec, and Streparava. Discussions emphasized supply chain integration and propulsion system innovation as areas of collaboration.
The third session highlighted the growing role of Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in shaping advanced manufacturing. Alessandro Giuliani of SDA Bocconi Asia Center opened the discussion, which was moderated by Shirish Dongre of The Machining World Express. Panelists from Biesse India, IMA Automation Atop, Vigel Manufacturing Technologies, and Exprivia IT Solutions explored the convergence of robotics, AI, and automation.
The Impresa Awards 2025 recognized companies setting benchmarks in industrial excellence. Honorees included:
- Dalmec Industrial Manipulators India – Business Innovation & Industry 4.0
- Mapei Construction Products India – Sustainability & Circular Economy
- Brembo Brake India – CSR & Community Engagement
- Losma India – Emerging Italian Enterprise
- Biesse India – Italian Leadership Excellence
- Unox India – Italian Brand of the Year
These awards underscored the growing strength of Indo-Italian industrial ties, recognizing both established leaders and emerging enterprises.
The summit concluded with a closed-door dialogue, Bridging Horizons: Next Steps for Indo-Italian Tech Partnerships, involving policymakers and senior executives from both countries.
