By Ashutosh Arora
PTC (NASDAQ: PTC) has announced the appointment of Jon Stevenson as Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer, responsible for the strategy, development, and delivery of the company’s Digital Thread product portfolio. This move underscores PTC’s commitment to advancing innovation in CAD, PLM, AI, and SaaS technologies to empower manufacturers in their digital transformation journeys.
Stevenson brings over three decades of experience in product development, engineering leadership, and technology innovation. His career includes executive roles at Stratasys and GrabCAD, along with advisory and investment positions in several product development, SaaS, and AI-focused companies, including AllSpice, SimScale, Duro, nToplogy, and Vention. Notably, Stevenson has a history with PTC, having served as Vice President in the company’s R\&D Group and as Executive Vice President of its CAD business.
“Jon is an accomplished leader in our industry, and we’re thrilled to appoint him as Chief Product Officer,” said Neil Barua, President and CEO of PTC. “Jon’s technical expertise, proven leadership, and fresh perspective will help us accelerate key priorities such as PLM and ALM integration, advancing our CAD portfolio, driving our transition to SaaS, and embedding AI capabilities across our products to deliver greater value for our customers.”
Expressing enthusiasm for his new role, Stevenson said, “It’s an incredible opportunity to serve as PTC’s Chief Product Officer. We have one of the strongest product portfolios in the industrial software sector and a great foundation to advance in SaaS and AI. I look forward to working closely with Neil and the leadership team to help our customers transform their businesses through cutting-edge technology.”
The leadership change comes as Kevin Wrenn, PTC’s previous Chief Product Officer, transitions into a new strategic role within the product organization. Wrenn will focus on enhancing customer engagement under the vertical-focused model PTC introduced earlier in the fiscal year.
Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, PTC is a global leader in software solutions that enable manufacturers to design, manufacture, and service physical products with enhanced efficiency and intelligence. The company employs over 7,000 people and serves more than 30,000 customers worldwide, providing solutions that integrate the physical and digital worlds for greater operational impact.
