With the power clamping nut MCA from JAKOB Antriebstechnik, the user has a well-established, widely used and economical clamping element at his disposal. Without additional installation work, this clamping technology can guarantee the highest clamping forces and maximum operational safety – and is very easy to operate manually. All you need is a 17 mm wrench. However, it is recommended to use a torque wrench in order to guarantee exact, reproducible clamping forces. The special interior, an integrated planetary gear mechanism, multiplies the manual tightening torque.
The power clamping nuts have proven their longevity on a specially designed test bench. They were subjected to a continuous load of 10,000 load changes and were able to confirm all expectations.
The MCA power clamping nut is based on the previous MC model, but with a modified design and reduced external dimensions. But a lot has changed on the inside too. The bearing of the planetary gears is now done by stable claws instead of bolts. This created space for significantly larger screw-in threads and increased the performance range by up to 100%. The material made from heat-treated steel and the surface coating that protects against corrosion guarantee a long service life for the clamping elements. The tightness of the drive mechanism and the splash protection could also be increased. The mechanical clamping nut MCA is maintenance-free under normal operating conditions and can be used in special designs up to 400 ° C.
The power clamping nuts are used in all areas of mechanical engineering where large clamping forces are required. For example, the economical clamping of press and punching tools or for clamping workpiece during machining. But there are also universal areas of application in steel and fixture construction.
The MCA series is available with clamping screws from M12 to M64 and with clamping forces up to 200 KN in the standard program.
In the MCA-S / MCA-T version, the power clamping nuts have been expanded to include a star or T-handle to enable easy manual operation.
