Sodick Opens Canadian Headquarters in Toronto to Strengthen Local Operations!

Sodick, a leading manufacturer of precision machining equipment, has announced the grand opening of its new Canadian headquarters in Toronto, Ontario, set to officially open on December 9, 2024. This new facility marks a significant milestone for the company, as it transitions from relying on a dealer network to direct sales and service in the Canadian market.
Previously represented in Canada by dealers such as High Speed Machinery Technologies (HSM), SparQuetec, and Ultra Machine Sales, Sodick’s new headquarters will allow the company to directly serve the Canadian manufacturing industry. This restructuring coincides with the retirement of Frank Truyens, President of Ultra Machine Sales, and aims to strengthen Sodick’s presence across Canada while continuing to support its authorized dealers. HSM will remain responsible for the Windsor, Ontario market, and SparQuetec will continue serving Quebec and the Maritimes regions, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
Mark Sanhamel, Vice President of Sodick Inc., emphasized that the decision to establish a direct presence in Canada reflects the company’s dedication to the region, saying, “The Canadian market is extremely important to Sodick. By establishing a direct presence, we better situate ourselves to address the needs of the Canadian manufacturing community.” This move will also improve support for existing users with direct access to sales, service, and stocked parts and consumables.
Sodick expressed gratitude for Frank Truyens’ years of service and looks forward to continuing the progress made by Ultra Machine Sales in the Ontario market. With the new headquarters, Sodick aims to provide enhanced service and better meet the needs of the Canadian manufacturing industry.
