FERD INC., a global manufacturer of abrasives, brushes and power tools, will feature a unique display within its booth B31017 at FABTECH 2019, November 11-14, 2019 in Chicago.
Along with the company presenting several of its new products, PFERD will partner with Milwaukee Blacksmith, a very talented, family-owned business and stars of the History channel TV show of the same name. Owners Kent and Shannon Knapp, along with their three sons and daughter, make their living in the 5,000-year-old craft of blacksmithing. The Milwaukee-based company will demonstrate how to put different finishes on a steel globe using PFERD products. Technical personnel from PFERD will be available to answer questions on the products used in working the finishes of the globe.
Along with the demonstrations by Milwaukee Blacksmith, PFERD will also be introducing a new product called VICTOGRAIN®, a high-performance abrasive grain whose design features make it one of the most effective abrasives in the world. PFERD will also introduce cut-off wheels, flap discs, grinding wheels and brushes that work with the BOSCH X-LOCK® quick-change system for angle grinders.
VICTOGRAIN is a triangular-shaped, precision-formed grain with sharp cutting edges that is superior to conventional ceramic grains, ensures maximum stock removal, and produces maximum results.
With the BOSCH X-LOCK system you can change select PFERD cut-off wheels, discs and grinding wheels quicker than even before in comparison to standard, threaded mounting options. The X-LOCK system features an X-shaped contour that allows X-LOCK abrasive products to be fixed on the grinder in a form-fitting manner.
