
Hitachi Energy lands an INR 160 Crore deal from MP Power Transmission Package-II Ltd
MP Power Transmission Package-II Ltd has agreed on an INR 160 Crore deal with Hitachi Energy India Ltd. This order was made during the first quarter of the year. It will be a project-specific business that is aimed at empowering the transmission system in rural Madhya Pradesh to boost the region’s power infrastructure capacity and reliability.
Hitachi Energy India is still the leading provider of grid connections and power quality solutions in the world. They have over 10,000 projects installed in different countries around the world. 800 of these projects connect the grid to renewable energy sources.
Some of the details in this order include nine-grid connections to strengthen about1,000 kilometres of overhead lines in nine rural districts of Madhya Pradesh. The state’s goal is to reach 12 Giga Watts of renewable energy generation capacity by the year 2025. This project trajects them in the right direction to achieving this goal.
Some of the other strategies that will help the state to achieve this goal include investment in utility-scale solar, wind, and hybrid installations, and rooftop solar.
